Looking for apps like Freecash? Good news: there are plenty of other apps that pay you to play games, take surveys, and try new offers.
The best Freecash alternatives are Swagbucks for the most ways to earn, KashKick for high-paying game offers, and Scrambly if you want to cash out fast. Scrambly lets you withdraw to PayPal or Cash App with as little as $1.
Our team has tested every app on this list, so you’ll see real results below, not just what each app claims.
And since these apps all work a bit like Freecash, you can use more than one. That’s the easiest way to find more high-paying offers.
| App | Best For | Minimum Cash Out | How You Get Paid |
|---|---|---|---|
| Swagbucks | Most ways to earn | $3 gift card | PayPal, gift cards |
| KashKick | Game offers and surveys (US only) | $10 | PayPal, gift cards |
| Scrambly | Fast, low cash outs | $1 | PayPal, Cash App, Visa, gift cards |
| Mistplay | Mobile gamers | About $5 | Gift cards, prepaid cards |
| HeyCash | Instant withdrawals | No minimum | PayPal, Venmo, bank, gift cards |
| Snakzy | Big game payouts (Android) | $35 | PayPal, Venmo, Visa |
| Survey Junkie | Surveys only | $5 | PayPal, bank, gift cards |
| JumpTask | Crypto and quick tasks | $0.50 | Crypto, PayPal, gift cards |
| Prolific | Better-paying surveys | $6 | PayPal |
How Freecash Works (And What to Look for in an Alternative)
Freecash pays you to play mobile games, take surveys, and sign up for offers. Advertisers pay Freecash to find new users, and Freecash shares part of that money with you.
Freecash says it has paid out more than $400 million to over 80 million users. You can cash out from $5 to PayPal, Venmo, gift cards, or crypto, though our review found a 5% fee on PayPal and bank transfers.
Freecash also had a rocky 2026. Apple and Google pulled the app in April after reports about misleading ads, but it was back on both app stores by June. Read our full Freecash review for the details.
Freecash
4.4
Free
Freecash pays you to test new games on your phone or computer, with some offers paying $100s.
- Wide variety of game offers.
- Simple, transparent rewards.
- Low minimum to cash out. ($5)
- Some offers feel spammy or have unrealistic milestone requirements.
- Some offers require spending money.
- 5% transaction fee for PayPal or bank transfers.
So what makes a good Freecash alternative? Here’s what I’d compare:
- Minimum cash out: Lower is better, so you’re not stuck with a balance you can’t withdraw.
- Payout options: Some apps pay cash through PayPal, while others only offer gift cards.
- Where it works: Some apps are US-only or Android-only.
- Offer quality: The biggest game payouts often take weeks of play, and some push you to make in-app purchases.
1. Swagbucks
Swagbucks is one of the oldest and best-known Freecash alternatives. You can earn by taking surveys, playing games, shopping online, and answering daily polls.

How does it compare to Freecash?
When our tester Rachel checked the same offers on both sites, Swagbucks paid more for some of them. For example, a SoFi sign-up offer paid $7.50 on Swagbucks versus $5 on Freecash.
Swagbucks says it has paid out more than $650 million. Most users earn about $20 to $100 a month, according to our review. You can get a gift card at just $3, but cashing out to PayPal took $25 when we tested it.

Swagbucks
4.4
Swagbucks has paid out over $700 million to users over the last 10+ years.
- Quick and easy to use
- Lots of ways to earn
- $10 sign-up bonus
- Surveys don’t pay much
2. KashKick
KashKick pays you to play games, take surveys, and try new apps and deals. Like Freecash, its biggest payouts come from game offers, with some paying $100 or more.

KashKick says its members earned more than $33 million in 2025. You can cash out to PayPal or gift cards once you hit $10, and payouts are usually approved within 1 to 3 business days.
The catch: KashKick is only open to US residents who are 18 or older. And in our testing, surveys paid poorly (I earned just $1.47 in 45 minutes), so stick to the game offers.

3. Scrambly
Scrambly is the closest thing to Freecash on this list. You earn by playing games, completing offers, and taking surveys, and you see the payout before you start.

The big advantage is how fast you can cash out, since you can withdraw just $1 to PayPal, Cash App, or a Visa card. Gift cards start at $5, and bank transfers at $10.
I earned $7 in my first few days without much effort. Scrambly is available in the US, UK, and Canada.

Scrambly
4.5
Get paid to try new games, complete offers, and more. It won’t replace your job, but Scrambly is a fun and legit way to make a little extra money online.
A $0.50 bonus when you join already gets you halfway to your first cash out.
- Easy and free to use.
- Wide variety of offers.
- Low minimum to withdraw (just $1).
- Some offers have strict requirements or require a lot of time.
- Only available in US, Japan, and Korea.
4. Mistplay
Mistplay is all about mobile games. You earn points as you play new games, with bigger rewards as you reach higher levels.

Mistplay says it has given out more than $200 million in rewards to over 50 million players. It works on both iPhone and Android, which isn’t true of every app on this list.
Unlike Freecash, Mistplay pays in gift cards and prepaid cards, not cash, but most rewards are processed within an hour. Our app tester Rachel earned $175 in eight months playing games on Mistplay.

5. HeyCash
HeyCash pays you to play games, take surveys, and test new apps. According to HeyCash, games pay $0.50 to $120 each and surveys pay $0.50 to $6.

HeyCash says withdrawals are instant, with no minimum. You can cash out to PayPal, Venmo, your bank, or hundreds of gift cards.
In our testing, surveys were the best part, while the games paid slowly. I earned just $1.39 after playing one for over an hour.

HeyCash

HeyCash is a legit money making app that pays users to play online games, take surveys, and test out new services. Top users can earn as much as $50 per day.
- Free to use.
- Easy to make money with short surveys.
- Low $5 payout minimum and lots of withdrawal options.
- Some offers are time-consuming for low rewards.
- Uses in-app points instead of dollars.
- App can be glitchy.
6. Snakzy
Snakzy is a newer play-to-earn app from Eneba, a gaming marketplace. It has a huge selection of game offers, and many pay out in small steps as you reach milestones.

When we reviewed it, Snakzy had paid out more than $1.2 million since launching in 2024. You can cash out through PayPal, Venmo, or a Visa virtual gift card.
There are two downsides compared to Freecash: you need $35 to cash out, and there’s no iPhone app yet, so iOS users have to use the website.

Snakzy
4.0
Free
Snakzy is a free “play-to-earn” app that pays you to try new mobile games.
In our testing, the claim that average users can earn $15 a day feels accurate, but it’ll take you some time.
Bottom line: if you love playing mobile games, why not make $450 a month for something you’d already be doing anyway?
- Free to use.
- Huge variety of payout options.
- Fun, gamified interface.
- No iOS app yet.
- High payout minimum ($35).
- Time-consuming to complete offers.
7. Survey Junkie
If surveys are your favorite part of Freecash, try Survey Junkie. It skips the games and offers and focuses on paid surveys.

You can cash out to PayPal, your bank, or gift cards once you reach $5. I earned $7.30 in my first few days, and if you stick with it, you could make around $40 to $50 a month.

Survey Junkie

Super popular survey app that rewards you for sharing your opinion. Survey Junkie doesn’t have all the bells and whistles as other platforms, but they’ve been doing online surveys well since 2013.
- Simple and easy to use.
- Variety of cash-out options, including bank and PayPal transfers.
- Low $5 minimum to cash out.
- On an hourly basis, surveys don’t pay well.
- Bugs: Sometimes surveys fail mid-way through without paying.
- Surf to Earn is probably not worth it unless you’re a heavy survey taker.
8. JumpTask
JumpTask pays you for quick tasks like watching videos, playing games, and taking surveys. According to JumpTask, its video tasks pay $0.50 to $5 each.

It’s a good pick if you’re interested in crypto, since you can cash out from just $0.50 to crypto, PayPal, or gift cards. JumpTask says it has more than 18 million registered users.

9. Prolific
Prolific pays better than most survey apps. Researchers use it for academic studies, and most pay about $8 to $15 an hour.

There are no games or offers, but you see the pay and time estimate before each study. My best day on Prolific was about $40, and you can cash out to PayPal once you reach $6.

Are Apps Like Freecash Legit?
Yes, the apps on this list pay real users, but none of them will replace a job. Most people earn a few dollars to maybe $100 a month.
A few tips to get the most out of them:
- Use two or three apps. The same game can pay different amounts on different apps, so compare before you start.
- Read the offer requirements. Big game payouts often have deadlines, and some require in-app purchases.
- Watch for fees. Freecash, for example, charged a 5% fee for PayPal cash outs when we tested it.
- Never pay to get paid. Skip any app that asks for a deposit before you can withdraw.
